In a grand ceremony held in Yaounde on Friday, February 21, 2025, Honorable Ngala Gerard was bestowed with the prestigious “2024 Service to Humanity Award”.

Organized by the Guardian Post daily newspaper, this esteemed recognition is a testament to Ngala’s unwavering commitment to serving humanity.

Ngala’s outstanding humanitarian works nationwide, particularly in addressing the needs of his constituents affected by the Anglophone crisis, have not gone unnoticed.

His tireless efforts in promoting education, healthcare, peace, and unity have earned him the admiration and gratitude of the people.

As a member of parliament, Hon. Ngala Gerard has been instrumental in driving positive change in his community.

His innovative approaches to governance, education, and community empowerment have made a lasting impact on the region and beyond.

From donating didactic materials worth 23 million FCFA to students in Binka and Tabenken to empowering school-going children, women, and youth, Ngala’s humanitarian works have been truly remarkable.

The Guardian Post Achievement Awards, initiated 20 years ago, recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to society.

The laureates are voted by the newspaper’s readers, and the votes are compiled by an independent jury comprising media personnel, civil society organizations, and others.

As Hon. Ngala Gerard receives this well-deserved award, it is clear that his dedication to serving humanity is genuine and unwavering.

His commitment to fostering peace, promoting education, and providing healthcare to those in need is a shining example of what it means to truly serve humanity.

The present award is coming shortly after the Collective of Investigative Journalists in Cameroon honoured him with another prestigious award, and on the occasion, the parliamentarian said “I acknowledge and appreciate the trust and confidence that the people have placed in me. I will continue to work tirelessly to justify this trust and to make a positive impact on the lives of my constituents”.
