“Coming here to perform and hand him a gift is just a token to say thank you to the Member of Parliament.”
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 22nd edition of The Guardian Post Achievement Award, where Hon Agho Oliver was awarded “2024 Best North West MP of The Year”.
The Bafut community in Yaounde, under the Bafut Development Manjong Yaounde chapter, gave Hon Agho Oliver a kingly treatment, presenting him with a rare traditional stool and entertaining him with beautiful traditional dances.

According to Suh Emmanuel, Secretary General of the Bafut Development Manjong Yaounde chapter, Hon Agho Oliver has been instrumental in supporting community development projects, providing financial assistance, and promoting peace in the region.
His contributions include supporting potable water projects in two villages, constructing a multipurpose center, and empowering youth, women, and the less privileged.
“He has also been very outstanding financially as far as our development projects are concerned,” he stated, recalling how the MP bailed out the Bafut community with a huge sum when it was engaged in a project to buy a plot in Yaounde.
Hon Agho Oliver’s commitment to his constituents has been consistent since he took office in 2020.
His people-oriented actions have significantly contributed to the return of peace in the Bafut/Tuban constituency, Mezam Division, and the North West Region as a whole.
