Some 13 seperatist fighters based in Ngoketunjia, North West region of Cameroon have dropped their arms and embraced peace.

The fighters headed by a certain ‘General Scatter’ presented themselves to the Prime Minister, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, Wednesday at the commercial avenue ceremonial ground.

It was during the public event on the occassion of the PM’s visit to the region.

The Prime Minister praised the now ex-fighters for their sense of understanding and respect to the call from the president of the Republic, promising that the Government would do all to reintegrate them into the society.

‘General Scatter’ disclosed that they have dropped all their weapons (2 AK-47 guns, some dane guns and other locally made weapons) which they usually use in their operations with security forces.

The fighters after the presentation were taken away by security forces and would be integrating the NW DDR center.

It is alleged that the fighters were loyal to the dreaded ‘General No Pity’ of Ngoketunjia, but this reporter cannot independently confirm.

This is a developing story…
