The population of Tubah Sub Division, Mezam Division of the North West region turned out in their numbers, Wednesday October 6, 2021, at the commercial avenue ceremonial ground to welcome the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, on an official visit to Bamenda. They were glad to see their Member of Parliament whom they say is their voice to the nation.

“We are very happy to see our Member of Parliament, Hon Agho, who has stopped at nothing to come to our assistance in the sub division, especially the youths of Sabga.” Said Adamou, youth of Sabga.

Hon. Agho Oliver, the youngest Member of Parliament in the present legislature was among the constituted corps that received the Prime Minister in Bamenda.

The PM’s visit was aimed at preaching peace and providing solutions to the crisis rocking the North West and South West regions of the country.

The Parliamentarian for Bafut – Tubah Constuency, Hon. Agho, a lover of peace was amazed with the massive turn out of his people both on Tuesday to recieve the Prime Minister, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, at the Customs Junction Up Station Bamenda, and during the public rally organized at the ground stand in commercial avenue on Wednesday October 6, 2021, and did not hide his feelings.

“I am overwhelmed with the support of my people, this is a sign that they are anxious to see peace return to their area, and that is an added push for me to continue to work towards that.” Hon. Agho told News Upfront.

The MP who after the rally gathered his people had a clear message for them;

“You have come, you have seen, you have heard all what the government has done and is doing to resolve the crisis, the ball is now in your court, I will be a happy MP if you take back this message to your brothers and sisters in Bafut, Bambui, Bambili, Big and Small Babanki and Sabga, so that together we can make peace a reality. On my part I will continue to represent you genuinely and support you whenever and whereever there is an opportunity.”

Talking about support, one of the recent was a financial package of close to FCFA 2.000.000 handed over to the lone elite 2 football club of the Mezam V constituency, Bafut Rangers FC, by the Member of Parliament.

The amount was raised by the MP thanks to support from other NW elite like Minister Paul Atanga Nji, Minister Felix Mbayu and Hon. Ngala Gerard just to name but these.

“I have supported Bafut Rangers and I again pledge my constant support to the team. I will be by you, untill the team reaches where you want to take it, you can count on me.” Minister Paul Atanga Nji, of Territorial Administration revealed to Hon. Agho Oliver during a chat in Bamenda on the sidelines of the PM’s visit.

Worth nothing is the fact that the Prime Minister praised the elite of the region for organising the event and for the massive turn out of the population which to him is an indication that fear is over.

Amongst the elite of the region who contributed to the success of the event was Hon. Agho Oliver of the Bafut – Tubah constituency.
