Story, Louvier Kindo Tombe

On the eve of Cameroon’s presidential election, Ekondo Titi in Ndian Division has vowed to deliver a hundred percent victory to incumbent President Paul Biya.

The pledge came on Saturday, October 11, during the CPDM’s closing rally that turned the coastal town into a sea of party colours and chants of “Paul Biya, our choice!”

The event was presided over by Minister Balungeli Confiance Ebune, Director of Cabinet at the Prime Minister’s Office and Head of the Ndian Divisional Campaign Team.

From local leaders to grassroots militants, one message rang loud and clear, Ekondo Titi stands firmly with Biya and Prime Minister Dion Ngute.

Mayor Utam Margaret Ndiba said her municipality’s loyalty is built on gratitude. “We are indebted to the Biya-led government for schools, health centres and social projects that have transformed Ekondo Titi,” she declared, thanking the President for his confidence in appointing their son, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, as Prime Minister.

For Section President of Ndian II, the upcoming vote is a reaffirmation of legacy:

“Since the creation of Ndian II in 1996, we have never lost an election. We won’t start now, not when our father, the Prime Minister, is leading the charge.”

The rally also heard success stories tied to the President’s development policies. The General Manager of PAMOL Plantations, Tapea Solomon Mbile, credited Biya’s consistent support for reviving the agro-industrial giant.

“Between 2019 and 2020, PAMOL had less than 400 staff. Today, we have over 1,000, with an annual turnover of 2.5 billion CFA,” he revealed.

Representing the academic community, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Prof Horace Ngomo Manga, reminded the crowd of Biya’s transformative vision for education and health.

“Universities now exist in all ten regions. Schools and hospitals are everywhere. And here in Ekondo Titi, we have something extra, the gift of a Prime Minister. That alone is enough reason to vote Biya,” he said to thunderous applause.

In his closing call, Minister Balungeli told the crowd that the time for talk is over. “Tomorrow is decision day,” he stressed. “Let every citizen of Ekondo Titi turn out massively and make President Paul Biya proud. The opposition has nothing concrete to offer, only empty promises.”

As the campaign curtain fell, the people of Ekondo Titi left the rally grounds united in one mission — to give President Paul Biya every single vote on election day.
