As the fight to wave out the Coronavirus pandemic within Cameroon’s border continue to evolve, various government services and officials keep tightening measures to paralyze the spread within their sector.

Cameroon’s transport boss, Minister Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe has conditioned the movement in public transport facilities on wearing of face mask.

As stated in the Press release signed Tuesday April 7, 2020, passengers likewise drivers must have their protective masks on before boarding taxis, buses and bikes.

This new order which will be applied in the 10 regions of the country takes effect from Wednesday April 8, 2020 with different administrators, Transport companies and forces law and order to strictly apply the measure.

It comes at a time when the deadly virus has already torched six out of ten regions in the country with the latest contamination cases rising to 685 and 9 deaths.

The said measure also synchronizes with decisions of some regional governors and the ministry of Territorial Administration commanding the wearing of face mask in public services by seekers and givers.
