Cameroonian Develop Mobile Medical App To Help Trace Phamarcies

This customer-facing app allows patrons to locate nearby pharmacies and measure the distance they need to cover to reach the nearest pharmacy that carries their desired drug in stock.

With the aid of the app, users can know the exact pharmacies where they can buy their medicines at a given price and pharmacies that open at late hours. One of our feature Pharmafast Pharmacy Management System offers certified pharmacy to own a shop on our platforms.

As of now, the app enables users to have access to all licensed pharmacies across Cameroon, our drugs database holds around 5’000 authorized medicines with their estimated prices, more than 1000 certified pharmacies are searchable through our drug bank. Also, a location [finder guide can be found for those who need to locate nearby pharmacies, just by clicking on their devices. Additional features will be available in the coming days.

It is difficult to know which drugstore will carry a particular drug, and prices are unpredictable because it varies from one pharmacy to another.

So they launched this app due to a sad experience one of their friends encountered in 2018 which almost took the life of her loved one. She spent almost half of the money which was meant to buy medications on a taxi fare as she was searching from one pharmacy to another and could not get her desired medicines which was a life-threatening condition. After carrying out research, we realized that a large percentage of people experience a similar issue.

There are two different ways to access Pharmafast. The Pharmafast Android app is available on the Google Playstore while users with IOS, computers, or who do not have enough space on their phone could create an account at https://www.pharmafast.org.

After downloading the app or visiting their web app, users are required to create an account using their telephone numbers. After that a six-digit number code will be sent via text message to verify their account and they will have full access to the platform.
