The afro-pop singer is one of the artists that have been taking the music industry by storm. He is unique with his mixture of makossa and afro-pop genre of music.

The native of Mankon in the North West region rose to prominence in 2016. This was following the release of his first single titled Tonight. The positive feedbacks gotten from fans, he said, encour￾aged him to work harder resulting in the release of other songs. He said the encouragement also caused him to prefect his talent.

Seven years already in Dubia, Eric Taxman said he is working tirelessly to make a name in the music industry both at home and abroad.

On the source of his inspira￾tion, Taxman said: “I got my inspiration from Uganda and their way of doing music which to me is peculiar. The Ugandan music is a mixture of some of the genres we have in Cameroon and I love their sense of creativity. Artists like: Eddy Kenzo, A Pass, Sheebah, Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, John Blaq, Grenade, Vinka and Martha Kay and many more inspire me a lot”

Despite his difficult beginning marked by the lack of a platform to showcase his talent and rejec￾tion Taxman said he remained resilient. Passion he said, kept him going.

He has release singles like ‘Marry Me,‘ One 4 U, ‘Personal, Person, and ‘Caro‘.

His latest work, titled ‘Grateful’ EP is done in English, Swahili, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Twi (Ghana), and Igbo, Yoruba, Pidgin English.

It has featured other artistes like Larudche from Argentina. The Extended Play, EP titled Grateful is actually in the market to the delight of fans. The nine track EP has songs like Mama Africa, Bamenda Girl, Money, Desire, Na You, Somebody, Special Woman, U got me falling and Thank God.

The song Mama Africa Taxman said, is to praise the beauty and rich cultural values of “our beloved continent Africa”.

“I have other projects in the pipeline. These projects will unveiled soon. Audio singles will be dropping soon like: Survival, Link up,” Taxman said, adding that: “I have been able to build my own platform named +237uptownvibz-TM” he said.

The platform going him, “aims to promote and showcase the talents of young Cameroonian and African artists based in the United Arab Emirates. We have been able to organise several crowd-pulling events”.
