The Humanitarian NGO, Grass 2 Grace Foundation has donated a consignment of valuable foodstuff and basic necessities to some fifty (50) Widows in the city of Douala, Littoral region of Cameroon.
The gesture that falls in line with the organization’s humanitarian activities held in Bonaberi, Wednesday December 23, 2020.
Food stuff like bags of rice, vegetables oil, bags of salt, Spaghetti and other valuables constituted the Christmas gift offered by the foundation.
It was a successful event as the promoter and vision bearer of the Grass 2 Grace Humanitarian Foundation, HRM Thomas Ayuk aka Pa Tom, told News Upfront.
“I am a happy person today, I am humbled, you know what we intended to do has finally come to pass”, he declared adding that;
“I personally want to thank all the partners who assisted us in this gesture, the Bonaberi Diaspora Association (BDA) was our key partner and we are grateful”.
The smiles on the faces of the widows transmitted the joy of receiving the Christmas gifts from the NGO, and they could not hide their feelings.
“I very much appreciate the gifts giving to me today and I can only wish the organization the best as they carry on with the good works they are doing”, a beneficiary told News Upfront.
One of the partners of the event, Mr. Collins Engwenyi, seized the occasion to call on other people to invest in humanitarian activities because there is more joy in giving.
“When we want to drink a bottle of beer, we should at least think of those who don’t even have garri to soak”, Mr. Engwenyi said.
The distribution of gifts to 50 Widows in Douala was the first phase of the project earmarked by Grass 2 Grace Foundation this December, a December to remember.
On Thursday December 31, the NGO intends to visit and assist orphans in the city in a similar manner.
The exercise is expected to cross over to other regions and well wishes can still join the train to put smiles on the faces and better the lives of the needy.
Just to add that the organization will be celebrating it’s 10th anniversary of humanitarian activities next year.
