The GM’s words came as a stark warning to those involved in vandalism, theft, and other forms of malfeasance that have been plaguing the company’s infrastructure.
“We will not build the future with past practices,” the GM asserted.
“We will not connect Cameroon with cheating, scams, or fraud. We will connect Cameroon with integrity, competence, and loyalty.”
Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi was addressing the personnel of CAMTEL as the company celebrated 2025 Labour Day at Club CAMTEL in Yaounde.
The GM’s declaration was part of a broader message emphasizing the company’s commitment to securing its telecom infrastructure and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
According to the GM, CAMTEL has already taken disciplinary action against employees found guilty of sabotage and corruption, and more of such measures would be taken.
Labour Day 2025 at CAMTEL was equally an occasion for projections.
The GM did not mince words when she talked about the new baby of the company, “Blue Money”.
As CAMTEL pushes forward with its Mobile Network Expansion project and prepares to launch Blue Money, a mobile money service, the GM’s words serve as a rallying cry for employees to work with integrity and dedication.
“Let’s continue working with integrity, competence, and loyalty,” the GM urged.
“We’ll prove that a public company can perform, innovate, and shine.”
The GM also paid tribute to colleagues who have passed away, inviting employees to observe a minute of silence in their honor.
With its strong stance against sabotage and corruption, CAMTEL is sending a clear message that it will prioritize integrity and accountability as it works to connect Cameroon and drive economic growth.
