Teenager Kills Nephew Over Clashes With Sister in South Region

A 15-year old boy is reportedly in the custody of the gendermarie brigade in Biwong-Bane a town in the Mvila division, South region for the alleged murder of his nephew.

According to reports, the incident occurred last Thursday August 13, 2020 in Mvog-mba village under Biwong-Bane subdivision, when 5-year old Otta David Memong, was reported missing prompting a massive search by family members and some villagers.

After a fruitless search operation, the deceased’s grandmother was informed by her grandchild that, David was last seen heading to an unknown destination with his uncle, Gaëtan Kouliba, News Upfront gathered.

Following intense pressure from family members and officers of the Biwong-Bane gendarmerie brigade, the 15year old teenager, finally admitted to killing and burying the nephew in a nearby bush.

He confessed that he killed the boy in retaliation to an earlier dispute and fight between him and the victim’s mother and his elder sister, Marceline Memong.

“The family having noted the absence of little David, Gaëtan, presented by his family as having from time to time mental disorders, will be questioned, but without a word leaving his mouth, until a sum of money is offered to him.” a source averred to News Upfront adding that;

“It is at this time that he will accompany the officers to the scene of the crime. He himself will exhume the body” he said.

The grandmother of the deceased, reportedly confessed there was a violent argument that day between her two offspring, Marceline and Gaëtan.

Without revealing the reasons for the dispute, she adds that she has done everything to get her two children resolve their differences.

The teenager, who is said to be a drug addict, is in the custody of the gendarmerie brigade in Biwong-Bane awaiting trial for the heinous crime.
