The new Board Chairman of the Cameroon Debt Recovery Corporation, has been installed into his functions.

Appointed Monday May 4, 2020 after an extra ordinary board session of the corporation, Robert Bapooh Lipot was commisioned into his functions by Finance Minister, Louis Paul Motaze.

It was during a brief ceremony at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel.

In his first reaction, the new board chair promised to put in all his energy to serve the nation by respecting the laws and guidelines of the corporation.

Robert Bapooh Lipot takes command of the board of directors just after four days as member of the board.

He was appointed into the board last April 30, 2020 through a Presidential Decree.

The former UPC Member of Parliament for Nyong and Kelle Division of the Centre region has been promoting a UPC-CPDM alliance in most elections in the country.

Observers are of the opinion that he is reaping fruits of his collaboration with the regime in power to the detriment of the historic UPC party.

Robert Bapooh Lipot takes over a Cameroon Debt Recovery Corporation (SRC) new look.

On the 9th of January 2020, a Presidential Decree reorganised the corporation expanding it’s scope of operation.

According to article 4 of the new texts, the corporation now has powers to officially effect liquidation of companies, management of patrimony and provide support counsels to the state.

For over 30 years of existence since it’s creation, on the 18th of August 1989, the Cameroon Debt Recovery Corporation had centered it’s activities around recovery of bank debts.
