The Regional Taxation Center, Center 1 in Yaounde had launched it 2021 fiscal year.

The launching took place Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Municipal Hall of the Yaounde City Council.

It was chaired by Centre Regional Governor, Naseri Paul Bea.

Focus of the launching was on the presentation of innovations contained in the 2021 finance law relative to the taxation sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Regional Chief of Center for Center 1, Mvogo Emiline Epse Bihina, declared that the 2021 finance law has simplified and facilitated the taxation system in the country to a win-win partnership.

She called on tax payers to try to carry out their civic responsibilities genuinely.

During the ceremony, two major presentations were made.

The first on the innovations contained in the 2021 finance law revealed that the system has been dematerialized.

Payments are now done electronically with a good number of incentives to boost the business environment in the country.

The second presentation laid emphasis on the electronic payment systems now extended and operational in all the tax units under the Regional Centers.

Tele declaration of taxes, Mobi tax, and many more are now available.

Just to note that some of the taxes have been suppressed in a view to help startupers grow in their businesses, help reduce the challenges of Covid-19 on businesses, ameliorate the business environment and relaunch the economy of the country.

The Regional Taxation Center, Center 1 for the 2021 fiscal year has to raise about FCFA 63.2 billion.

To achieve this, the operators need to work as a team, and work for the interest of the Republic and not their personal gains.

This was an appeal from the Governor of the Centre region, Naseri Paul Bea.

The launching ceremony was also an occasion for the over 400 personnel of the tax center to get to work in view of achieving the goals set for the fiscal year on one hand, and satisfy tax payers on the other hand.
