The Popular Action Party, PAP has re-awakened the growing concerns about the well-being  of the President of the Republic of Cameroon, in their latest Release Tuesday March 31st 2020.

In the release, its National leader, Njang Dens Tabe said their party is concerned with the inaction of President Biya in the forefront of the fight against the deadly virus, Covid-19.

President Biya’s inaction, the party emphasised has given rooms for the widespread rumours on social media platforms questioning his wellbeing.

“Such inaction has led to several surmises including but not reduced to widespread speculation of the health condition of the President” he said.

According to Mr Njang Dens, in order to clarify Cameroonians, his party will petition the Constitutional Council headed by Clement Atangana to make a declaratory statement as to whether the post of President of the Republic of Cameroon is vacant or not.

Government spokesperson, Minister of Communication Rene Emmanuel Sadi, in a press outing last week, refuted social media allegations that the President is dead.

Similar allegations about the death of the President in 2004 had prompted President Biya to make the famous speech “Les Apprentis sorciers,” giving them a rendezvous in 20years time (2024)

Based on official statistics, the Central African country, Cameroon is the worst hit by the Corona Virus pandemic in the Sub-Region with 193 cases registered by March 31, 2020.

The country of late Prof Victor Anouma Ngu, arguably one of the best Medical doctor and Researcher in Africa, has been engaged in the fight against Covid-19 with a 13 point Government prescribed plan and has so far recorded 6 deaths out of the 193 cases detected and 5 healed so far.

There are fears that the figures may continue to rise despite government measures.

Meanwhile, Mr Njang urged Cameroonians of goodwill to create a solidarity fund to assist in the combat to curb the spread of the Corona Virus.

PAP, is making a Ritual Petition right? After over 3000 deads in NOSO they have not question why Biya has not visited the war zone and now they are pretending with the Ritual Petition about the whereabout of Biya during the Coronavirus? Double standard. Leave Biya alone.
