The ceremony, which took place on Saturday December 14 2024 at Hotel la Falaise in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s political capital, was a vibrant celebration of fashion, art, and Cameroonian culture.
“I am satisfied because all the materials used in my designs are made in Cameroon products,” says Solange Momo, promoter of Nitzol Style fashion house.
The event featured a stunning fashion parade, where models strutted down the catwalk showcasing Nitzol Style’s exquisite designs.
The collections, which proudly promoted ‘made in Cameroon’ products, were a testament to the country’s rich cultural heritage and the talent of its designers.
“Cameroonian talents have nothing to envy from the world,” Madam Tenekeu Aristide, matron of the event said.
“The event celebrated boldness innovation, and passion.”
Artistic displays and live performances added to the excitement of the evening, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The event brought together fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and industry experts, all of whom were impressed by Nitzol Style’s commitment to promoting local talent and ‘Made in Cameroon’ products. Amongst them was Ntuga Diane, who won the best creative prize with her “fish gown design”.
“I got inspiration from nature and wanted to do things differently, Ntuga Said.
With this second edition, Nitzol Style has cemented its position as a leading fashion design house in Cameroon.
“I will also be glad if Cameroonians embrace my designs,” Solange Momo said.
“We are celebrating a promise where our creative artists will write their names in the history of fashion,” Madam Tenekeu Aristide added.
The event was a shining example of the country’s growing fashion industry and its potential to make a mark on the global stage.
“It’s my first time to attend such an event, and I found it very interesting,” says Fotsing Leonel Arnaud, participants.
“Next time I hope to be a partner to the event.”
Nitzol Style’s dedication to promoting ‘Made in Cameroon’ products is not only a boost to the local economy but also a celebration of Cameroonian culture and creativity.
Worth noting is the fact that Solange Momo, known by her artist name as Nitzol Style, is over 13 years into fashion designs.
She has won distinctions both nationally and internationally, and she is now giving back to growing fashion designers. In the days ahead, she would be graduating another batch of designers from her fashion house.
