The ceremony, held in Yaoundé on Friday January 24, 2024 recognized Professor Mbareka’s outstanding contributions to education and development in Cameroon.
Represented by Vice Chancellor, Professor Jean Emmanuel Pondi, ICT University praised the organization for this special recognition.
“This award is particularly significant, as it comes from our home country,” said Professor Ponti.
“Professor Mbarika has received numerous international awards, but this one holds a special place in our hearts.”
The Cameroon Heroes Impact Award celebrates exceptional Cameroonians and institutions making a positive impact.
This year’s event brought together public, private, and non-governmental organizations, recognizing outstanding achievements in various fields.
The awards were presented in three main categories:
The Cameroon Heroes Award category which recognizes individuals and institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the development of Cameroon.
The Cameroon Heroes of Valour Award category which honours individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary courage and bravery in their service to the nation.
The Cameroon Exceptional Heroes Award category in which the Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, was among the notable awardee, recognized for his outstanding leadership strides in promoting peace, growth, and development in Cameroon.
The Cameroon Heroes Impact Award is an annual event organized by GAICAM International, aiming to shine a spotlight on outstanding Cameroonians and institutions that have made significant contributions to the country’s development.
This year’s event saw over 30 awards presented to deserving individuals and institutions.
