Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, was once again at the forefront of the Cameroon International Cycling Tour that rounded off at the Club Camtel in Yaounde on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

The last lap of the race run between Bafia and Yaounde saw Moroccan cyclist Achraf DOGHMY cross the finish line in first position. However, it is his compatriot Mochine El Kouraji who finished top of the general classification table to take the yellow jersey home.

Another Moroccan cyclist Adil Arbaoui finished second on the general classification, 1 minute 14 seconds from the yellow jersey while Rwanda’s Etienne Tuyizere completed the podium.

Though Cameroonian cyclists did not finish on the final podium they could go home smiling thanks to Camtel.

The incumbent telecommunications operator through its flagship product Blue awarded the prize for the best Cameroonian cyclist at the tour which went to Michel Boris Tientcheu of the Cameroon national cycling team.

A fervent partner of the Cameroon Cycling Federation and the cycling family in Cameroon, Camtel, through its flagship product BLUE, stood by the caravan from the first to the last stage of the race.

At each stage, of the tour, Camtel offered the Blue jersey for the best Cameroonian cyclist as well as several prizes to spectators that came out in their numbers throughout the week.

The effervescence brought to the race by Camtel reached its climax last Sunday at the Club Camtel with a mammoth crowd that turned out to witness the closing ceremony.

The award of the various jerseys and prizes as well as animations was later followed by a reception offered by the General Manager of Camtel Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi to all the cyclists and those who made the tour a success.

With the dust gradually settling on the 19 edition of the Cameroon International Cycling Tour, Camtel will look back with pride for the support it gave all through.
From Figuil to Garaoua, Edea, Kribi, Douala, Loum, Dschang, Bangangte, Bafia and Yaounde, Camtel connected not only with the cycling movement but also with its customers and the public around the country as a means to tell them BLUE will keep expanding its network and services for better.
