That tradition was again respected on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Club Camtel in Yaounde.

“It is part of Camtel’s social responsibility to put smiles on the faces of its personnel and their children,” madam Fadimatou Aboubakar said during the 2022 Christmas tree ceremony.

Madam Fadimatou Aboubakar represented the General Manager of Camtel, Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi, at the ceremony.

Over 300 children benefitted from Christmas gifts set aside by the top management of the company.

This year, the management of Camtel decided to equally honour some personnel including drivers and cleaners.

All the children present were handed Christmas gifts of varied types.

“We focalised on educative gifts, gifts that are intuitive and which will awake the various senses of the children,” one of the coordinators said while presenting the content of the gifts.

“I have never seen this before, I am new at Camtel but from what I see, I feel blessed joining the Camtel family. This is a laudable initiative,” Tamafor Kingsley, a new Camtel staff told News Upfront.

During the ceremony, one of Camtel’s staff, a lady who is equally into music presented her latest sound track dub “Bluetiful“.

Evaluating Path Covered

The 2022 Christmas tree ceremony at Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel) was another occasion for the company to take a break and revisit the path covered so far, as well as pave the way forward.

“I can happily say that 2022 was a year of mixed achievements,” says madam Fadimatou Aboubakar, technical adviser no. 2 at Camtel.

The representative of the General Manager revealed that the new commercial brand of Camtel (Blue) is gaining grounds slowly but steadily across the country, and in the telecom sector which is highly competitive and in constant mutation.

Camtel, she said is on a progressive path of achievements thanks to the efforts of all the personnel. Talking about achievements, Camtel in 2022 made it big.

“We cannot cite achievements without talking about the recent local roaming launched in partnership with a sister operator in view of extending our Blue Mobile Network,” madam Fadimatou Aboubakar said.

“The certification of Camtel at ISO Standard, the three conventions given by the government of Cameroon to exploit mobile and fixed network including transportation are achievements that speak volume.”

Before separating from the event, the personnel of Camtel were enjoined to continue putting in their best for the interest of the company in serving the nation.
