Story, Louvier Kindo Tombe

The president of the second New Africa France Summit Council (CNSAF) Hemes Nkwa at the end of the retreat said “we are equipped to impact civil society actors in Cameroon, France and beyond”.

The retreat that saw his team pick up the command baton officially took place in the West region of Cameroon.

Both old and new scribes of the council attended the activity which was aimed at facilitating the handover process and building the capacity of the incoming team.

During the retreat, the old and new scribes of the council exchanged knowledge on key sectors like unemployment, migration, democracy among others.

A new road map was also drawn to this effect to guide the activities of the new team.

CNSAF is a dynamic platform dedicated to fostering exchanges and advocacy between Cameroonian and French civil society actors.

It’s mission is to rebuild and strengthen relations between Africa and Europe, with a special focus on Cameroon and France.

This will be done by following up the recommendations of the New Africa France Summit that held in Montpellier on October 8, 2021. 13 points were adopted as recommendations.

The new team headed by Hemes Nkwa have to contribute to this important mission, ensuring transparency and effective financial management as they work towards their shared goals.

One of the objectives is to collaborate with fellow members and stakeholders to drive impactful change and promote sustainable development.

The New Africa France Summit Council (#CNSAF) in 2 years mobilized 7000 youths across Africa and Europe, with a positive balance sheet of 7 co-elaborated projects.

The new team also has as mission to consolidate the achievements of the past and break new records.

Worth noting is the fact that French President, Emmanuel Macron, insisted that this New Africa-France Summit is a real turning point and marks the end of the traditional France-Africa (Françafrique) summits between French and African Heads of State.

Various African and European Heads of States have saluted the move which is already bearing fruits in Cameroon and beyond…
