The idea of the ceremony was to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and inspire the younger students to strive for excellence.

The ceremony took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Nkolfoulou 1 campus of the institution, marking a significant milestone for over 1,500 students who received their Baccalaureate and GCE Advanced Level certificates. It was a vibrant celebration of academic achievement, filled with joy and excitement.

“I’m overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,” said one graduating student. “This moment is a testament to our hard work and dedication. We’re proud to be part of the IPB Wagué family.”

The event featured inspiring speeches from notable figures, including Mme Agnès Makougoum, an esteemed professor of law, who delivered a public seminar on academic orientation. “The future belongs to those who are resilient and determined,” she emphasized, encouraging the graduates to seek alternative means of sponsoring their studies like scholarships.

Additionally, Mr. Ngueulieu Elias Perrier, shared valuable insights on the importance of resilience and learning from failure, encouraging the graduates to be antifragile and proactive in shaping their future. “Life is full of ups and downs, but it’s how we respond that matters,” he said. “Be like the cordonnier, always preparing for the future and never giving up.”

During the ceremony, several individuals paid tribute to the graduates, including the students themselves, parents, teachers, and partners. The highlight of the event was the presentation of diplomas, prizes, and scholarships to the achievers, with special recognition for those who earned distinctions.

The outgoing class, named after the renowned Cameroonian economist Joseph Tchundjang Pouemi, passed on the baton to the next generation, symbolizing the transfer of knowledge and responsibility. “We’re proud to carry the legacy of Joseph Tchundjang Pouemi, a true icon in Cameroonian economics,” said a student representative. “We’ll strive to make a positive impact in our communities and beyond.”

As the graduates embark on their new journey, they carry with them the best wishes and expectations of their alma mater. With determination and hard work, they are poised to make a remarkable impact in the years to come.
