Following the accident that led to the dead of 37 persons on the Koutaba-Yaounde road, the inauguration ceremony of the renovated gate way into the town of Foumban has been postponed till further notice.
This information is contained in a press released signed by the palace authorities of Foumban.
The inauguration was initially planned for Sunday January 3rd 2021.
A-two-day work suspension has been imposed in Foumban, in memory of the Victims of the Ndikinimeki incident.
The sultan of Foumban, Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya has equally extended his condolences to the bereaved families of the accident.
It’s worth noting that the mayor of Foumban, Patricia Toumaino Ndam Njoya has been threatening to destroy the gateway on grounds that it should have been reconstructed by the Council, and not the palace.
The gate way was consumed by wild flames November 29.
