The closing ceremony of the training programme developed by Huawei took place Friday October 16, 2020 through videoconference.
The laureates from Cameroon seperated with satisfaction of haven boosted their ICT skills through out the programme.
Even the teachers were satisfied and did not hesitate to praise the Telecommunications company for the training.
One of them, Madam Esther Efon talked to News Upfront.
“I can assure you that the Seeds For The Future programme put in place and is being promoted by Huawei, is designed to change the lives of youths, in the sense that it will boost their competitive power in the job market” she said.
The captain of the students who participated in the training, Franck Xavier Temgoua, expressed satisfaction for the training.
“On behalf of my mates, I want to express our gratitude to Huawei for this very important training we received” adding that;
“We shall make good use of the skills aquired through this training to develop fruitful projects for our communities.
At the closing ceremony, the laureates were urged to actually make good use of the training to help Cameroon attain it’s ongoing mission of digital transformation.
This year’s edition of the Seeds For The Future programme was the fifth and the vision is to increase the number of laureates in the future prigrammes.
According to the Deputy General Manager of Huawei, Mr. Sun Wei, most of the laureates of the Seeds For The Future programme have joined the company, while a good number are excelling in other institutions.
Launch in Cameroon since 2016, the Seeds For The Future programme has trained some 120 teachers and more than 1000 ICT students from Huawei partner higher institutes of learning.
