Hon. Agho Oliver’s ‘Pass’ That Propelled Bafut Rangers into Elite II

The Member of Parliament for Bafut – Tubah Constuency in Mezam Division, North West Region, Hon. Agho Oliver, mobilized close to FCFA 2.000.000 which he handed over to the team as encouragement and motivation following their participation in the just ended National Interpools competition where they grabbed a ticket into the Elite II competition.

At the start of competition and to boost the morals of the players, the Youngest Parliamentarian handed over the sum of FCFA 400.000 to the team (Bafut Rangers FC) promising to do more as the competition unfolds. A promised he fulfilled on Saturday September 25, 2021 as the team grabbed their ticket into Elite II. Hon. Agho Oliver on the spot and in cash, presented the sum of FCFA 1.500.000 to the team captain who received on behalf of the entire squad.

While addressing the players and technical staff of Bafut Rangers, Hon. Agho Oliver reassured the team that he will continue to support the team as they embark on the Elite journey.

He said the financial package handed to them was mobilized thanks to goodwill ambassadors like the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of relations with the Common Wealth, Felix Mbayu, including Hon. Ngala Gerard, of Nkambe Centre.

Besides the MP, the Mayor of Bafut, Ngwakongo Lawrence, equally supported the team with the sum of FCFA 1.000.000 following their victory and qualification.

The North West representative, Bafut Rangers FC, it should be noted picked their qualification following a virgin tie against Best Stars FC of Limbe during the last encounter of the 2021 National Interpools competition.

Shortly after the close of the competition, the President of Bafut Rangers, 39 year old business man, Neba George, officially declared his candidature to run as President of FECAFOOT North West Regional Bureau.

The competition according to the Interim Secretary General of the football governing body, FECAFOOT, Nicolas Parfait Solo Awono, was well organized and witnessed a series of beautiful spitball spectacles.
