Story, Louvier Kindo Tombe

The convention signed on July 4th 2025 in Yaounde aims to ensure that Bome François meets the required standards for production and marketing, addressing concerns over quality and safety.

The convention outlines a clear plan for François Santé SARL to adhere to quality management systems, both nationally and internationally.

LANACOME will provide training to the company’s staff, and together, they will develop a corrective action plan to ensure the production of high-quality products.

The promoter of the product, François Désiré Ekouma Ananga, signed for his company while the General Manager of LANACOME, Ngono Mballa Rose signed on behalf of LANACOME.

The journey to this point has not been without its challenges. The Minister of Public Health, Dr Manaouda Malachie, had previously ordered the removal of Bome François and other products from the market due to poor quality and lack of standards.

However, the recent convention signing ceremony marked a new chapter in the product’s history.

According to Madame Ngono Mballa Rose, General Manager of LANACOME, the convention is designed to “wipe off the errors of the past and set a new pathway to give more visibility to the company.”

She revealed that Bome François would be classified as a simple health product, rather than a pharmaceutical product, paving the way for its return to the market.

François Désiré Ekouma Ananga, the promoter of Bome François, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that it would “clear the air on the controversies surrounding the products” and open doors for widespread production and distribution.

He appreciated the government’s efforts to promote local production and consumption of made-in-Cameroon products.

This development is a testament to the government’s commitment to promoting local production while ensuring that products meet the required standards.

As Bome François makes its comeback, consumers can look forward to a product that has undergone rigorous quality checks, restoring confidence in the brand.

The partnership between François Santé SARL and LANACOME is a significant step towards promoting the government’s vision of import substitution and boosting the local economy.

With Baume François set to meet the required standards, the product’s future looks bright, and its loyal customer base can once again trust in its quality and efficacy.
