The event took place recently at the Ngie Cultural and Development Association (NCADA) hall in Damas during their first monthly meeting for 2024. The social media influencer and relationship coach was dressed in the traditional North West atire (Toghu), and peace rights performed to protect her against any evil. Delly Singah was honoured for flying the flag of the community high across the world.
“We are giving you this title so that you can represent us out there and continue to do the good works you have been doing for our community,” says Hon. awutah Philip Atubah, Member of Parliament and son of Ngie who was present at the ceremony.
“There is no greater honour than that from your people,” Delly Singah said as she accepted the new title. “I am celebrated home more than I ever thought”.
As a daughter of Ngie, She encouraged other sons and daughters of the community to carry the flag of the land high in any form and in any little way they can. She seized the occasion to present to the community, another son of Ngie, Cyprain Tayong aka CY International, who is excelling so well in his career as a comedian. Both of them are famous on social media.
Community commitment
Most of those who attended the meeting and witnessed the decoration were surprised to learn that Delphine Singah and CY International were all from Ngie.
“I have been a follower of Delly Singah on social media for years without knowing she is my sister,” an elite of Ngie, Enimbah Timothy ETABI, Senior Chief Warrant Officer told News Upfront
“It was recently from the comments of a fellow follower that I knew she was from Ngie and immediately I decided to throw my total support behind her.”
When Enimbah Timothy ETABI discovered that Delly Singah was on her way to Cameroon for a book launch, he saw a perfect opportunity for the community to recognize her strides. That was how the decoration ceremony was planned.
“We need to commit to continue to stand behind our sister,” says Enimbah Timothy ETABI.
The entire community in Yaounde who welcomed Singah at the airport on her arrival in Cameroon remobilized even better on her departure.
The book launch
The book titled “I Do, I Don’t: Journey Into Matrimony”, was launched in Cameroon on January 6, 2024 at the ICT University. The entire Ngie community in Yaounde was present to honour their daughter.
The book accordingly to Delly Singah, has taken the Ngie community to the rest of the world. It is a guide to couples to live a fruitful relationship, and an inspiration for singles to understand the journey into matrimony.
“I am putting this out there so that the world should know and be able to make informed choices when it comes to matrimonial affairs,” Delly said.
After the launch at the ICT University, the book was officially presented to the Ngie community in Yaounde during their first monthly meeting in 2024.
“I will make sure that with book, Ngie is represented in every home across the world,” Delly Singah said.
Speaking at the NCADA hall, Delly Singah encouraged her brothers and sisters not to relent on their purpose, for it is their purpose that will guide their path to success.
Other Recognitions
The Ngie Cultural and Development Association (NCADA), during their monthly meeting recognized some illustrious sons and daughters for services to the community in 2023, especially in the sports domain. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded to them.

In February, Enimbah Timothy ETABI would also be decorated as the “Most Patriotic Ngie Son”.
Ngie is a community with 19 villages in Momo Division of the North West region of Cameroon.
