The 2023 edition of the FENASSCO League A Games is underway in Garoua and Gashiga in the North Region of Cameroon. The kickoff of the games was given on Saturday, July 29 in Garoua by the Minister of Secondary, Professor Nalova Lyonga. For one week, students from the ten regions of Cameroon will be engaged in various disciplines as they blend studies with sports.

They will be accompanied all through the week in their endeavours by Camtel that has again taken the initiative to sponsor this year’s edition of the games after successfully doing so last year in Mvomeka in the South Region.

The incumbent telecommunications operator was thus present on the opening day of the Fenassco Games to accompany students accomplish their dreams.

As partner and official sponsor of the Fenassco League A Games, Camtel has taken the commitment to award several prizes to the athletes and supporters.
Camtel through its flagship product Blue will offer a special “special Camtel” to the best athlete in volleyball (in the men’s and women’s categories).

Camtel will also offer a special prize to the winners of the volleyball tournament in the men’s and women’s categories, they winners of the basketball tournament (men and women’s categories), winners of the football tournament (men and women’s categories), a special “Blue Prize” to the three winners of the Chantal Biya Excellence Page Fenassco 2023.
In addition to the prizes, Camtel will provide a mobile connection for live broadcast and provide constant and permanent technical support round the clock to teams on the site to quickly resolve any internet disruptions.
All these prizes and offers were announced by the General Manager of Camtel, Judith Yah Sunday on July 11 while receiving the Minister of Secondary Education at Camtel’s Headquarters for a working visit.

It is during the visit that the General Manager of Camtel announced Camtel will sponsor this year’s Fenassco games as she reiterated Camtel’s commitment to support the education community.

“Camtel is fully ready to support the Ministry of Secondary Education in the implementation of its major projects that they have embarked on, that is e-learning which will enable the educational community to access learning more easily using electronic tools,” Judith Yah Sunday epse ACHIDI said.

“Expanding this support even further, Camtel positioned itself as the official sponsor of the 2022 Fenassco League A Games which were organised in Mvomeka under the distinguished patronage of the First Lady Mrs Chantal Biya. The games as everyone attest were a resounding success,” she added.

Thanking Camtel for its support, the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga hailed the company for standing by the education community.

“It is a wonderful partnership (between Camtel and Minesec). We started it last year (2022), we didn’t know how well it was going to be. We didn’t know what Camtel was going to offer us but we saw it and this time we decided to repeat a lot of things that we did the last time. It is a great partnership and I have discovered that Camtel is genuinely interested in promoting the interest of children and the interest of those who are educators…you know what they have done for us,” Prof. Nalova Lyonga said.
