A giant replica of the official PUMA ball was displayed at Rond Point Deido in Douala to announce the new season.
It was an honour for Cameroon to be chosen among five countries of the world to officially set the ball rolling for the 2020-2021 football season of the Spanish LaLiga.
It was a spectacular show Wednesday September 9, 2020 at Rond Point Deido in Douala where football lovers and fans of LaLiga were given the opportunity to have a fore taste of how the new season would look like.
For 24 hours, they visited and took pictures with the replica of the official PUMA ball with which the most exciting football matches in the world are played.
The objective was to bring @LaLiga closer to international fans and contribute to bring the passion for football to a key territory for the Spanish league where, for 3 years, it has had a delegate in the country.
The delegate, Trésor Penku has as mission to promote the works of @LaLiga in Cameroon.
“We are sure that we will see great moments with this ball during LaLiga 20/21 season and that giant replica reflects the relevance of the country for us. We want to be close to our fans and offer them a unique experience, on and off the pitch” Trésor Penku told News Upfront reporters.
The 2020-2021 LaLiga season it should be noted kicks off Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Besides having the opportunity to take pictures with the replica of the PUMA ball in Douala, Spanish LaLiga fans will be able to participate in the new seasons’ “Unboxing Campaign” through a QR code.
