The renowned CRTV newscaster who doubles as the Managing Director of the construction company Graceland Sarl, is accused of embezzling over FCFA465 million.

The accusation is made by the CPDM section president for the Nyong and Kelle division, Simon Pierre Ndjiki Mpeck.

The said money was meant for the rehabilitation roads in the Nyong and Nkelle, Nyong and Nso’o, Mefou and Akono Divisions, all in the Center Region of Cameroon.

Graceland won the contract of FCFA 465 946 619 million to maintain these roads in July 19 2016, and was expected to dilever the work 12 months later.

The roads in question are the Mbalmayo-Akono (22.61km), Ngoumou- Otelé (10.200km) and Otelé-Eseka (71.500km).

Reports hold that these roads have not been maintained till date. News Upfront is yet to confirm.

After waiting for two years without noticing works done on these roads, Pierre Simon Ndjiki Mpeck, initiated a procedure to suspend the disbursement of FCFA 113 Million, the last installment for the said project.

Few months later, the Minister Delegate at the presidency in charge of Public Contracts, Talba Malla Ibrahim, asked the minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, to look into the scandal. Two years later, the roads are yet to be rehabilitated.

It is as a result of this that Ndjiki Mpeck, filed a complaint against Graceland company at the Yaounde Special Criminal Court for the embezzlement of public funds.

Adèle Mballa Atangana, is expected to answer present at this court on January 13.

All attempts to get her own side of the story were futile.

Meantime, the inhabitants of the afore mentioned divisions are fadeup with the states of their roads
