Governor Debunks Rumours of his Death, Comfirms have been Infected with Corona

In a 4minutes 31seconds audio clip now in circulation on social media, he affirmed being alive and in good health conditions despite have been contaminated with the insidious virus

“Samuel Ivaha Diboua is alive, Governor of the Littoral region. In the name of Jesus I’m speaking to all those who have given their lives to the Lord…” declared the Governor to his interlocutor who apparently is Christian.

As he narrated, he was tested positive of the killer virus on April 1 in Douala along with his wife, Rosette after noticing some symptoms

He is said to have contracted the virus on March 17 at the Douala International Airport and later getting in contact with his wife.

An Air France flight from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, with 144 persons amongst whom were majority Cameroonians on board, landed in the country’s economic capital.

It was suspected that all passengers on board the flight were escaping the Coronavirus outbreak in Europe.

The Governor led his Etat-majeurs to welcome into the country and guided them to a quarantined destination. Eventually, majority of the passengers tested positive of Covid-19.

Cameroon minister of Public Health in a tweet on Friday April 10 said “I would like to say how close I am to the Governor of the Littoral region who was contaminated…but thanks to God and health professionals he has recovered from the virus today.”

Mr Diboua confessed that while in confinement, his wife felt discouraged but he encouraged her that as long as its the Lord who created them and not the devil, they will live on. He also refused yielding to advice from close collaborators that as an authority, he should seek treatment in bigger hospitals out of the region.

Governor Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua who is expected be discharged in the days ahead, is the highest authority in the land to have been diagnosed and confirmed officially of the dangerous virus.
