The town is now connected to Camtel
The network station hosting Camtel’s CDMA and LTE service is found in a 55 meters tall tower, constructed months back by Camtel.
The unveiling and effective commercialisation of the station took place from September 08 – 12 in the chief town of Ngaoundal Sub Division.
The events were chaired by the Board Chair of Cameroon Telecommunications, Mohamadou Saoudi.
The population of Ngaoundal and it’s environs can now call, browse, and text with Camtel’s 3G/4G networks.
“The presence of Camtel’s services in our town will help us not only to communicate with our loved ones from far an near, but it will help accelerate most businesses in the town”, a denizen told News Upfront.
Connecting Ngaoundal to the rest of the network was a promise from the management of the Telecommunications company.
The General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi had resolved to plant Camtel’s services in all remote areas of the country.
It is thus a promise fulfilled.
According to scribes of the Adamawa regional representation of Camtel, the GM has provided the neccesary logistics for the maintainance of the network station.
Speaking during the effective commercialisation of the network station, the board chair of Camtel, Mohamadou Saoudi. saluted the efforts of the General Manager.
“President Paul Biya opted for digital transformation in Cameroon, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has drawn up a plan and Camtel’s management is actively working hard to achieve the collective goal” he said.
The board chair enjoined team Camtel to carry on with the works as far as possible.
The launching in Ngaoundal took place in the presence of traditional, religious and administrative authorities.
Ngaoundal is a locality in Ngaoundal Sub Division of the Adamawa region. It has about 85.000 inhabitants with a good number of them being active users of digital services.
