The delegation was led by Brigadier General Nka Valere, Commander of ESIG, who said the visit was within the framework of the “Leadership and Management” module of the Yaounde International War College.
In his statement, the commander of the War College thanked the incumbent telecom giant for edifying their knowledge with advanced digital services, dear to the security sector.
“We are leaving here satisfied,” General Nka Valere said, after CAMTEL showcased its digital services, including data protection mechanisms.
It was a 60-member delegation from 26 countries and 2 continents that visited CAMTEL’s headquarters in Yaounde on Monday July 21, 2025.
The auditors, all senior military officers were interns from the 20th intake of the War College. They gained valuable insights into CAMTEL’s prowess in telecom and cybersecurity, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the military and telecom sectors.
According to the representative of the General Manager of CAMTEL, both institutions share the same dynamic, “that of national resilience”.
“Military language is not different from that of telecom,” the representatives noted, underscoring the convergence of interests between the two fields.
The session facilitated an exchange of experiences, with CAMTEL sharing its expertise in data protection and cybersecurity. A presentation by the Head of Sales Department, Mathilde Mouangue.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of collaboration in digital security promotion as the visitors browsed through CAMTEL’s digital prowess with technical and intuitive questions.
The visit at CAMTEL was in line with the 20th anniversary of the Yaounde international War College, which opened with a trade fair on July 14, 2025, followed by acolloquium that held at the war College.
Reacting to the presentation, the auditors thanked CAMTEL for paying special attention to data protection of individuals and institutions which is the most important aspects of security today.
The visit concluded with a gift exchange, solidifying the partnership between CAMTEL and ESIG.
