The Senior Divisional Officer for Upper Plateau in the West region of Cameroon, has given a last warning to the outspoken traditional ruler of Bamendjou, H M Sokoudjou Phillipe Pierre Rameau, for his unpatriotic utterances on social media.
According to a release from the SDO, the traditional ruler has embarked on a social media anti republican campaign which is likely to push Cameroonians to revolt against the state and it’s Institutions.
The Senior Administrator frowned at the outings of the ruler which he says go against the laws of the Republic.
He reminded H M Sokoudjou that he is auxiliary to the Administration and thus have to comply to the functioning of the state.
According to the SDO, one more unpatriotic social media outing from the traditional ruler will provoke the law to be applied on him.
It is not the first time that H M Sokoudjou Pierre Rameau is been cautioned on his public outings.
Last year July, after the traditional ruler received some political party scribes in his palace, the SDO of Upper Plateau wrote to him condemning the act that it was in violation of Administrative rules, since the said meeting was not duly declared.
To the Senior Administrator, it was actually a political gathering at the palace and not a normal audience as the traditional ruler had claimed.
Since then the traditional ruler has not cease to take to social media to air his critics about the management of the country by the present regime.
He had once declared that President Paul Biya had forgotten his people.
That the present military option to resolve the crisis in the North West and South West regions is not the best.
He also frowned at opposition political parties in the country for doing nothing to overthrow the regime in power which he accuses constantly on social media.
In one of his recent outings, and in reaction to the SDO’s message, the outspoken traditional ruler declared that “spiders are often seen moving in the night because they get confused with when the moon comes on and when it’s morning time”.
