The child was kidnapped, and later killed after she recognized one of her kidnappers.

It is still difficult for the father of four years old Ray Houssane to believe that he will never hear the voice of his child again.

It all started like a joke, Friday, April 17, 2020 when the child got missing.

As the father went searching, he received a call from an unknown number requesting three (3) million FCFA as ransom for the child to be released.

Immediately, he informed elements of the Gendarmerie Legion of the West region who after a man hunt apprehended a certain Amidou Njoya, 24 years old and who happens to be the child’s uncle.

The uncle from exploitations finally disclosed that he is responsible for the Kidnap of the child.

He then presented the names of his accomplices and helped Gendarme officers to arrest them one week later.

Unfortunately, it was the lifeless body of the child that was presented.

Questioned on why the kidnapped child was killed, the culprits said she had recognized one of them, and they were afraid the deal would be exposed.

A case has been opened at the Foumban tribunal for justice to take it’s course.

The child it Should be noted was pupil of a nusersery school in the locality.

The population of Foumban have been urged to be more vigilant given that kidnaps for ransom are becoming frequent in the area.

Another phenomenon gaining grounds in the West region is traffic of human parts.
