The Lyon Business School of France on Friday March 19, 2021 awarded the honorary tittle of Doctor Honoris Causa to the Cameroon’s former indomitable lion’s striker, Samuel Eto’o Fils.
Going by the President of the institution Hervé Diaz, the recognition comes as a result of the former indomitable lion’s extraordinary carrier in sport, and his social leadership style.
Samuel Eto’o comes into this category to join Alassane Ouattara, Faustin Archang Touadera, Michael Roussin, John Mohama Dramane, Corine Lepage, Olivier Dassault among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Samuel Eto’o noted that “I am happy with this distinction from the school of the business of Lyon. I am more encouraged because this establishment aims to show Africans that their destiny is in their hands and that knowledge is universal. The sports school opened by the Lyon Business School must provide the keys to the fulfillment, development and total independence of African sport”.
It should be noted that the Business School of Lyon has just launched a training cycle in sports management.
This new tittle attributed to Samuel Eto’o Fils will go a long way to strengthen the commitment of the eponymous foundation in the promotion of education and quality at the service of the full blossoming and development of African.
