The young technicians were welcomed into the company on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 during a ceremony presided over by the company’s General Manager Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi at the National Emergency Telecommunications Network Centre in Ekounou, Yaounde.

Selected from various institutions of higher learning across the national territory , they are part of the first batch of Camtel’s Professional Integration Program which seeks to provide young graduates with their first professional experience in various operational sections of the company.

After going through a two-week immersion period, the technicians are now ready to join Camtel’s operational teams on the field for six-month period renewable once.

Before embracing this opportunity, Camtel’s General Manager Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi called on the young graduates to distinguish themselves through their determination, engagement, integrity and knowhow.

“I am very delighted to launch the Professional Integration Program which offers an opportunity for young graduates to demonstrate their knowhow and acquire experience. The Professional Integration Program is an initiative led by CAMTEL, designed to provide recent graduates with their first professional experience in various areas of operations in our company,” Camtel’s GM said.

Stressing on the merits of such a program to integrate young graduates, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi said Camtel’s Professional Integration Program aligns with the vision of the Head of State HE President Paul Biya to provide more opportunities to women and youths as underlined in his swearing-in speech on November 6, 2025.

For two weeks, the 127 young technicians were immersed into the realities of the company through various theoretical modules like understanding the values, missions and vision of the company, network exploitation and maintenance techniques, Fiber Connect and others. But they also had to feel the practical realities by being embedded with the various technical teams on the field.

These opportunities have already given the young graduates a foretaste of the professional world as they embark on a new experience far away from the four walls of their classrooms. It was therefore an opportunity for them to express their gratitude to Camtel’s General Manager for the unique opportunity given to them.

“We thank you for the opportunity and we take the commitment to be disciplined, professional and to shun all malpractices in the exercise of our duties, ” the representative of the batch said.

About the YIP

Launched months ago, over 270 and candidates from higher institutions of learning across the country showed interest with their files scrutinized before the interview process.

On November 7, one day after President Biya’s swearing in, Camtel swung into action by retaining 127 candidates who will now have the opportunity to acquire experience for six months renewable once.
