The Chinese Telecom giant, Huawei, has reaffirmed it’s commitment to work towards improving services rendered to it’s customers the world over.

The commitment is conntained in the 2020 Annual Report of the company published recently in Shenzhen, China, during a press conference that held on March 31, 2021.

The 2020 Annual Report of Huawei, revisits the activities of the company in terms of achievements and challenges.

Despite the challenges including but not limited to health with the upsurge of the Covid-19, Huawei registered a remarkable commercial performance in 2020 compared to the previous year.

In 2020, Huawei’s turnover stood at 136.7 billion dollars, estimated at 3.8% increase, while the net profit was 9.9 billion dollars (3.2% rise).

The President of Huawei, Mr. Ken Hu, who chaired the ceremony to release the Annual Report disclosed that the Telecom company will continue to work in collaboration with it’s clients and partners to support social progress, economic growth and sustainable development.

“We continued with our innovations in creating value for our customers to fight against the coronavirus pandemic and to support economic recovery and social progress worldwide. We equally seized the occasion to further ammeliorate our operations, and that contributed to increase our predicted performances.” Mr Ken Hu declared.

In concrete terms, throughout 2020, the Telecommunications sector of Huawei maintained stable operations of 1.500 networks within 170 countries and regions. As a result, telework, e-learning and e-trade were promoted during the period of confinement decreed following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Beside that, Huawei collaborated with other service providers to promote over 3000 innovative 5G projects in more than 20 sectors such as charcoal mines, steel production amongst others.

Still in 2020, Huawei’s department of services to enterprises multiplied and intensified efforts to develop innovative solutions for different industries including the creation of digital ecosystems.

This has actually helped in the fight against Covid-19 as it helped hospitals to reduce charges on medical infrastrucsture through Huawei Cloud.

Also more than 50 million pupils and students were schooled through the cloud system (online training platforms).

Huawei it should be noted is a giant Telecom company, created in 1987, operating in some 170 countries and regions. To date, it has 194.000 employees.

Huawei operate in the following sectors, Telecommunications network, ICT, Intelligent equipments and cloud services.

At Huawei, innovation is directed towards customer need.
