The Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh was guest of honour at the 9th edition of the international business fair dubbed PROMOTE – 2024. One of the stands visited was that of Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL). The Minister of State was received by CAMTEL’s GM, Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi.
The Minister of State came to discover the services offered by the telecom giant. He was impressed not only by the different services offered by CAMTEL, but most especially by the mastery and expertise of its General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi, who is dedicating time end energy to position the company as a leader in digital transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa.
“Congratulations you madam the general manager, your stand is impressive, and your work is highly appreciated,” Ngoh Ngoh said.
Madam Achidi, presented the Network Infrastructure Map of CAMTEL to the Secretary General step by step.
CAMTEL, it should be noted is at PROMOTE to open up to the rest of the world. “CAMTEL is not only a national company, we are planning to become a hub in Central Africa thanks to our Business Unit Transport,” Francis Ajumane, scribe of CAMTEL told reporters who were present at the stand of CAMTEL.
“We are presenting the three components of the company to the public, Business Unit Transport, Business Unit Mobile and Business Unit Fixed.”
The CAMTEL stand, strategically positioned at PROMOTE 2024, has been attracting visitors and stakeholders from several institutions and organisations, as well as the general public. CAMTEL’s advanced digital communication products and services have been a point of attraction to multitudes who have paid a visit to the CAMTEL stand since the trade fair started on January 17, 2024.
The telecom giant is among over 800 enterprises from 30 countries in the sub-region of Africa, Asia, and Europe exhibiting products and services at the multi-sectoral fair taking place in Yaoundé.
PROMOTE 2024 is themed: “Private Sector, Evolution, and Structural Transformation of African Economies.”
CAMTEL’s participation at PROMOTE 2024 comes at a time when the company is celebrating its 25th anniversary. It is important to note that most of the modernised products and services offered by CAMTEL today have been initiated thanks to the leadership of Judith Yah Sunday, General Manager. Since she was appointed in 2018, she has implemented numerous changes, particularly focusing on streamlining operations to achieve the organisation’s objectives and putting customers at the centre.
These initiatives align with the company’s emphasis on Customer Centricity and Change Management, crucial aspects of its strategy. CAMTEL has remained resolute in its resolve to become the leading digital hub in sub-Saharan Africa by 2030, capitalising on leading innovation and digital transformation.
