From July 14 – 16, 2022, the city of Douala would be transformed into a business hub in Africa.
A foundation, Emmi Empire Inc. would be organizing a leadership bootcamp dub, “Emmi GLOBAL Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit.”
“We want to empower young entrepreneurs with ideas to enhance their creativity and to promote innovation”, Dr. EriseMary Dinga told reporters in Douala during a presser.
“We cannot keep doing business everytime the same, we have to improve our personal branding and how to market and sell our products in a sustainable manner”, she continued.
The Emmi GLOBAL Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit is set up as an international event given the calibre of speakers and the quality of knowledge to be dished out to the young entrepreneurs.
Over 500 young entrepreneurs plus veterans in business will rub shoulders for three days, share experiences, skills, technics and practical knowledge (especially in a Cameroonian context) on how to run and maintain a business.
“We shall basically focus on sustainability challenges in a business, how to manage and handle failures and successes”, Dr. EriseMary told News Upfront.
Africans have gotten almost all it takes to make it in business, they have the money and the man power but what is lacking is knowledge. This is exactly what the summit will be addressing, but the promoter of Emmi Empire Inc. thinks something more should be done in the future.
“I think it is time for entrepreneurial skills to be included in school curricular across Africa”, she said.
To her, Africa should not continue to stand at the receiving end, but should brace up to the challenges of empowerment and stand tall and strong.
A Plus in the Summit
The Emmi GLOBAL Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit is a perfect platform which is going to expose participants not only to Africa but to the rest of the world.
Beside the exposure, the summit will be an occasion for some mature business ideas and businesses to bounce on a spring board.
“We cannot talk about empowerment without empowering someone, I think that some businesses will go back home smiling”, Dr. EriseMary said.
All the entrepreneurs were given the chance to deposit a project (business) upon registration to the summit. A specialized team will carry out feasibility studies in view of selecting some few businesses that would be accompanied financially, technically and otherwise.
Another very important activity during the summit will be a B2B networking evening.
All kinds of people will be there, people with business minds, people with desire to do business, funding partners, General Managers of Companies in Cameroon among others, the promoter of the event disclosed.
Most, if not all the speakers of the would be Cameroonian experts.
“I think it is time we hail our heroes because they go through a lot to stand where they are today”, Dr. EriseMary said.
At the end of the summit, every participant will go back home with a copy of an entrepreneurial magazine produced by Emmi Empire Inc.
