All roads were leading to the great Babanki community in Cameroon on Saturday 15 April 2023, on the occasion of the ceremony to hand over attributes to members of the senate house. At the Yaounde Conference Center, sons and daughters of the two sister-Babanki-communities gathered as one person accompanied by dance group to usher senator Mrs Regina Mundi into her new mandate at the senate.
“She is our pride, and we are proud of her achievements,” a native of Babanki said.
At the head of the mobilisation were the Fons of the great Babanki community, HRM Vutsiboung Benjamin Vubangsi of Big Babanki, and HRM Sheteh Nelson of Babanki Tinguh.
After receiving her attributes, senator Mrs Regina Mundi was honoured by the entire Babanki community during a ceremony at the Zonal meeting hall in Yaounde.
“I am more than amazed with this reception,” senator Mrs Regina Mundi said.
Senator Mrs Regina Mundi in her address to the Babanki community called on her people to continue working together for the interest of the community in particular and country at large.
“We would only achieve more if we stay united and encourage peace among us and within our community,” she said.
She promised to represent her people at the senate accordingly, but invited them to play their part in contributing to paving the way for development in the community.
The Fons of the great Babanki community described senator Regina Mundi as a lead warrior of the community inviting the elites of the community to support her initiatives.
The traditional rulers decreed that senator Mrs Regina Mundi will continue to make strides in politics for the interest of the country.
The senator of the North West region during the ceremony donated the sum of FCFA 1.000.000 to the community as support to the zonal meeting hall project in Yaounde.
Worth noting is the fact that the achievements of senator Mrs Regina Mundi were blessed on Sunday 16 April 2023 during a church service that held at PC Nsimeyong in Yaounde.
Sons and daughters of the great Babanki community are represented in almost all the top institutions of the nation such as; the constitutional council, the senate, the national assembly, the judiciary, the military, the education sector, …etc just to name but these.
