The Member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah Constituency, Mezam Division of the North West region was in Sabga to donate to the Muslim dorminated community.
With the COVID-19 Pandemic and coupled with the fasting period for Ramadan, the Member of Parliament carefully selected the gifts.
Cartons of sugar, tea and face masks constituted what the people’s representative took home to his people.
Hon. Agho Oliver did not only go to Sabga with gifts, but carried along a message of hope for the people as they observe the last quarter of Ramadan.
It was an overwhelming population that received the MP and his entourage in Sabga.
The consignments were received on behalf of the Muslim dorminated community by the lamido of Sabga, Mamuda Sabga.
“This gifts are timely and we appreciate the gesture from the Parliamentarian” the lamido told News Upfront.
“We shall proceed with the distribution immediately and every household in Sabga will benefit from the materials” he added.
The Member of Parliament in his statement reminded the populace that he will forever be grateful to them for chosing him on the 22nd of March 2020 as they promised during the campaigns.
“I am a builder not a destroyer” the MP declared adding that no meaningful development can take place in disorder.
Besides distributing gifts to the population, the people’s representative visited the sick on their hospital beds.
At the Sabga Integrated Health Centre, Hon. Agho Oliver handed over the sum of FCFA 300.000 to the doctor to clear the pending bills of patients.
Dr Dimla Emmanuel saluted the gesture on behalf of the patients.
Accompanied in the visit was the Mayors of Tubah and Bafut councils.
Mayor Tanjong Martin of Tubah enjoined the population to embrace Anti Coronavirus measures put in place by the government.
Especially the wearing of face masks and Physical distancing.
Before leaving Sabga on May 10, 2020, the Member of Parliament promised to return to work with the population in designing a project log book for the community.
The visit was the third in a series by the MP after receiving his attributes as Honourable at the glass house.
Hon. Agho Oliver has visited Bambui and Bafut where he donated roofing sheets to the population with financial assistance.
Sabga, it should be noted is found inside, Kedjom Ketinguh, native village of the Parliamentarian.
