The leader of the CRM party says President Paul Biya has made his failure evident in the fight against Corona Virus.
The latest declarations from Prof. Maurice Kamto issued on March 3rd 2020 came at the wake of seven days he gave to Paul Biya to show proof of life by personally addressing the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Seven days after the “ultimatum” that sparked harsh reactions from some government officials, President Paul Biya did not heed to the call from Kamto.
The CRM scribe started his eight pages statement by acknowledging that the Head of State has made his failure evident in managing state affairs.
Another seven days have been given to the head of state, this time to show proof of life.
Kamto in the statement alleged that the President of the Republic is faking his own death for political benefits.
What ever the case he continued, if the Head of State fails to show up physically within the next seven days beginning March 3rd, the CRM and his person will initiate legal proceedings through the official quarters to ascertain a possible vacancy at the helm of the nation.
By acknowledging the failure of Paul Biya in the Covid-19 fight, Kamto presents measures he believe will work for the country.
The Survie-Cameroon-Survival Fund
The vision of the national president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement is for Cameroonians to take charge of their destiny and collectively mobilise to oust to virus.
The Fund Launched by Kamto according to his statement will cover health, social, and economic aspects of the pandemic and shall be financed and cordinated by both cameroonians at home and abroad.
The CRM leader did not announced the amount the fund will contain but rather castigated the 1 Billion FCFA ordered by President Paul Biya in the National Special Solidarity Fund created by the Prime Minister and Head of government.
To Kamto, the amount is a mockery to Cameroonians.
In the statement released Friday March 3rd, the “President-elect” as he is fondly called by his militants asked Cameroonians to respect certain measures in order to push Corona Virus apart.
One of the measures is total confinement in all the affected regions of the country (Centre, Littoral, South West and West), for a period of 15 days.
He equally asked Water and Electricity companies not to tax consumers for the next three months, tax officers in markets should equally do same.
For economic operators, the government should initiate dialogue in view of coming up with incentives per sector of activity.
