The Member of Parliament for Bafut – Tubah constituency in Mezam Division, North West region is leaving no stone unturned in meeting the demands of his people.
Hon. Agho Oliver received in audience the Fon of Kedjom Keku, HRM Vutsiboung Benjamin Vubangsi, Friday October 16, 2020.
Focus of their discussion was to soften the grounds for effective Reconstruction and Development in Kejom Keku.
The people’s representative gave an unprecedented listening ear to the challenges faced by the people of Kedjom Keku, presented by the Fon.
“It is true that we are in a crisis situation, but life has to continue, our people need to live as they used to live before, as a son of the soil, we count on you for development” HRM Vutsiboung Benjamin told the Parliamentarian.
In response, Hon. Agho Oliver said;
“The time for Reconstruction and Development is now, and no village, no quarter, no person within the Bafut – Tubah constituency shall be left behind”
“What is important is for us to work together as a family, but at the same time respect the Institutions of the Republic as well as the laws of the land” Hon. Agho told News Upfront.
The Parliamentarian announced a wholistic development plan for the constituency in the months ahead and called on the people of Kedjom Keku to belong.
Tuesday’s audience with the Traditional Ruler of Kedjom Keku falls in line with Government’s efforts in promoting living together in Cameroon, preached by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji.
The Minister in several occasions had encouraged Cameroonians especially those of the North West and South West regions to shun violence and embrace peace which is dear to the head of State, H E Paul Biya.
With the up coming Regional Council Elections of December 6, 2020, News Upfront gathered that the MP for Bafut – Tubah is working towards it’s smooth organisation within his constituency.
Also present during Tuesday’s audience was an illustrious son of Kedjom, who is candidate for the up coming Regional Council Elections, Njikebeng Awunti Ghejung.
It should be noted that Hon. Agho Oliver since his election has been very instrumental in the growth and development of the Bafut – Tubah constituency, seeking a way out of the stalemate.
His first triumphant entry into the Sub Division provided shelter and financial assistance to hundreds of families rendered homeless by the excesses of the crisis in the NW/SW regions.
Electricity challenges has also been his priority.
Recently, the Member of Parliament supported families with didactic materials and took children back to school in a grand style.
