The mortal remains of the former president of the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedoms, NCHRF has just left the Yaounde General Hospital Mortuary.
The two days funeral program provides a ceremony to pay tribune to the fallen rights activists today July 17, 2020 which will hold at the premises of the commision in Yaounde.
The body of Chemuta Divine Banda will later today leave Yaounde for his native village “Nforya” via Bafut, Bafut Sub Division, Mezam Division of the North West region.
The rights activists will be laid to rest tomorrow Saturday in Nforya.
Chemuta Divine Banda who became president of the NCHRF since 2003 died on May 18, 2020 at “Le Jourdain” medical facility in Yaounde from an illness.
One of his last outings was during the Investigations ordered by President Paul Biya into the Ngarbuh military invasion that left scores death. He was member of the commision.
