The ranking placing the Wague Bilingual Comprehensive Institute on the 20th position for all levels of secondary education was done by the french education examination board, Office du Bac. The institution in 2023 gained 14 places and progressed from the 34th to the 20th position on the national table.
This was possible thanks to team work, discipline and professionalism in the school, according to a statement from the school authorities.
Besides the overall classification, the technical and professional section of the institution occupied the 2nd position at the national level, scoring 100 percent in the 2022/2023 academic examination organized by the ‘office du bac’.
The Wague Bilingual Comprehensive Institute in 2023 was the overall best school in all levels in the Soa sub division and the Mefou and Afamba division of the Centre region.
The school is one of the few in Cameroon offering innovative, bilingual, and adapted knowledge to its students. It has one of the modern infrastructure in the Centre region with convivial, spacious and well constructed classrooms and offices.
According to the school management, their vision in the 2022/2023 academic year was to raise the standard of teaching and learning in the institutions. In the ongoing academic year, the school intends to double it’s efforts and why not emerge best overall lay private secondary school in Cameroon.
That is how they have programmed a series of interesting extracurricular activities for the students this academic year. Open door days, excursions, are some examples.
The ranking from office du bac is done annually, and is aimed at encouraging the different institutions to strive for academic excellence.
