There are hope for brighter days ahead at the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, MINEPAT, following the creation of an Association for staff and personnel of the Ministry.
An Elective General Assembly of the newly created association took place Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Amphitheatre 300 of the Ministry.
Focus was on the adoption of the statutes and internal rules and regulations of the association.
The pioneer executive of the staff association were equally voted into office with Technical Adviser No.3 at the Ministry, Bafakan Roger chosen to head the association for a period of three years.
The deliberations of the General Assembly were chaired by the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey.
Objectives of the Association
The main objective of the association is to improve on the working conditions of the staff and personnel of the Ministry.
It is going to be an ideal medium for the personnel to discuss and table their worries or proposals to the Minister.
The association shall equally help defend its members as well as guide them on the respect of their rights and obligations at the Ministry.
Worth noting is the fact that, the creation of the association is a promise fulfilled by the Minsiter who has the well-being of his collaborators at heart.
