The renowned academic don, and trained pastor was chosen at the end of an extra ordinary board meeting of the institution Wednesday in Yaounde. The board meeting was chaired by the president, Acho Godfred Taku, who said the choice of Rev. Prof. Anyambod Emmanuel Anya was strategic.
“It is because of his extensive experience, his exposure and his religious background,” Mr Acho Godfred Taku said.
By validating his candidature, the president of the board said the institution is taking a new dimension and looks forward to positive changes beginning this 2023/2024 academic year. He said they expect the new VC “to increase the student population of YIBS, expose the school to the international front to get new cooperation and partners for the benefit of the students”.
The board members were all optimistic with the coming of Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Anyambod. Prof. Charles Fon Abi, told reporters that the new VC is the square peg in the square hole.
The mission of the new VC according to Prof. Anyambod Emmanuel, is timely, but he is coming on board with more in his briefcase.

“I am bringing my long experience in spirituality to the Yaounde International Business School.”
The new VC takes over from Dr. Mrs Elisabeth Tamajong.
