Barrister Emmanuel Nsahlai, a renowned Cameroonian lawyer and human rights defender, whose 3D mantra – Disrupt, Dismantle, Defeat – drives his campaign, has made it clear that protecting Cameroon’s children is paramount.
“The future of our nation is at stake. We cannot allow terrorists to dictate whether our children can go to school,” Nsahlai stated.
His actions have placed him at the forefront of the fight to protect education and human rights in Cameroon.
With the start of the school year approaching in Cameroon on September 9, 2024, separatist groups have intensified their efforts to prevent schools from reopening. These groups, which have long waged a campaign of terror in the Anglophone regions, have issued death threats to students and teachers who defy their orders.
In response, Barrister Emmanuel Nsahlai, has mounted a global campaign to counter the separatists. Nsahlai has taken direct action by contacting Attorney General Merrick Garland in the United States, requesting that U.S.-based leaders of these separatist groups face prosecution.
Nsahlai has been instrumental in tracking separatist leaders worldwide, with a particular focus on those residing in the U.S., EU, Canada, and the UK.
Nsahlai’s letter to the Attorney General is part of a larger effort that includes outreach to the UN General Assembly President and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
He has also called on China to arrest a separatist leader in Hong Kong. His tireless work has already led to the prosecution of dozens of separatists in the U.S., millions of dollars frozen from their financial networks, and the shutdown of hundreds of social media outlets used for inciting terrorism.
