More than 36 young Cameroonians have ended a 5 day workshop on the use of social media platform. The training took place at See Vision Computer Higher Institute of Technology and Management (SEVITI) on the theme: “how to use social media platforms to your advantage and make passive income and more”.

“I used to post only pictures on social media, watch TikTok without knowing many were using social media to make millions,” Beri Delight Ngwang said.

The participants were told that social media is not actually evil like many think, but it becomes evil when used negatively.

“People make money and become millionaires on social media depending on how they use the platform,” a trainer said.

The training centered on cyber criminality with focus on media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Messenger just to name but these.

At the end of the workshop, the trainees, who received each, participation certificates did not hide their feelings.

“This certificate will go a long way to help me search for jobs,” Ayakwe Nick Bayaka said.

“We really thank the organizers, in particular, Mr Elvis Timcha, for this opportunity,” Beri Delight Ngwang added.
