Cameroon is among Five Nations that will represent the African continent at the finals of the competition coming up on October 31, 2020.
The participants are three ICT students from Huawei partner Higher Institutes of learning who challenged their counterparts from all participating countries of Sub Saharan African to sail through to the finals of the competition.
The Sub Saharan derby took place last October 13 in Douala-Cameroon.
For four hours, the students, Loic Cedric Meli Sougmene, Gaétan Daryl Ngniawo Mopi and Malcolm X Hassler Gninghaye Guemandeu convinced the jury.
In grand Style, they succeeded to configure a network with equipments and a virtual laboratory, as well as other innovative configurations.
News Upfront gathered that the students are confident of the skills aquired thanks to Huawei, but they however know that the world finals would be very challenging.
“It is going to be a high level competition, and we shall be participating alongside other African and world nations,” Loic Meli said.
The competition is not in it’s first edition but Cameroon is participating for the first time.
For their first year, they made it to the top level. First year, first triumph.
It goes without saying that the world’s giant Telecommunications company, Huawei has for years now encouraged Cameroonian ICT students to further their knowledge in technology and innovation.
The competition this year is taking place online because of the health challenges linked to Coronavirus.
But the Telecommunications company, Huawei had made it possible for the various participating nations to compete with ease.
In the past, participants used to travel to China.
