The Publisher of The Star Newspaper, Chief PAUL NKEMAYANG is no more. He passed away Thursday night, June18, 2020 in Limbe. The cause of his death is not yet known.
PAUL NKEMAYANG was the President of the Cameroon branch of the Commonwealth Journalists Association (CJA).
He was also the former National President of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ.
His recent public outing was in Buea, where he played the role of spokesman, when a delegation of journalists in the Southwest Region recently met the Governor of the region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, following the admission by the Ministry of Defence that Samuel Wazizi had long died.
The media family in Cameroon and the world at large is still to come to terms with the sudden death of the outspoken publisher, and traditional ruler.
The news is coming at a time when another anglophone publisher, Kingsley Ako Tanyi, of the “Cameroon Herald” who died last May 18 would be laid to rest.
